Grow more dependent

As children we grow up and become increasingly independent. But as children of God, it's the other way round. As we grow, we should become increasingly dependent on God.

Like a toddler, a grown-up Christian:

constantly holds his father's hand;

runs to him when he is frightened;

tells him everything;

is always asking his advice;

thinks the world of his daddy and believes everything he says;

never doubts that he will look after him;

asks for help with the little as well as the big things;

tells him his worries and leaves him to sort them out.

Jesus said, "Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven". Matthew 18:3
